The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued an urgent warning for consumers to immediately stop using OasisSpace adult portable bed rails sold at Walmart, Amazon, and other platforms. This action follows a fatality and safety concerns related to the product.[1][4]
Reason for Warning
Bed rails pose an entrapment and asphyxiation hazard.
In October 2023, an 81-year-old woman in Ohio died after becoming trapped between an OasisSpace bed rail and the mattress.
The product fails to meet the federal Safety Standard for Adult Portable Bed Rails, creating a serious risk of injury or death.[4][1]
