Ford and Amazon team up to sell used cars online

Ford and Amazon will sell used cars online

Ford and Amazon partner to sell certified pre-owned vehicles online, enhancing customer access and options.

  • Partnership enables online sales
  • 160 Ford dealers ready to participate
  • 14-day or 1,000-mile money-back guarantee
  • CPO vehicles available in major cities
  • Hertz collaboration for additional inventory
  • Financing and paperwork available online

Ford and Amazon are teaming up to sell certified pre-owned vehicles through Amazon’s platform. Over 160 Ford franchise dealers in the U.S. have already signed up to participate.

Ford’s Expanded Online Sales Offering

Ford and Amazon’s new partnership allows franchised Ford dealers to sell used cars via Amazon Autos. This move aims to improve access to high-quality vehicles for customers.

More than 10 dealers are now fully onboard with the service, and nearly 10 more are expected to join soon. Customers will benefit from Ford’s inspection and warranty programs when they purchase these vehicles.

Customer Options and Services

Customers can secure financing and complete paperwork through participating Ford dealerships, although some final steps may be in person. Ford will provide a money-back guarantee for 14 days or 1,000 miles.

CPO vehicles are currently available in cities like Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas, with plans for expansion in various U.S. locations.

Future Collaborations and Inventory Growth

This partnership follows Amazon’s previous ventures with other automotive companies, including Hyundai and Hertz. In August, Amazon announced a collaboration with Hertz to sell pre-owned vehicles through its platform.

Through their partnership, Hertz will increase inventory across multiple vehicle brands, including Ford, Toyota, and Chevrolet.
