Deion Sanders believes he has more blood clots in his leg and is in considerable pain after Colorado’s 35-21 loss to TCU.
Health Concerns Following Loss
After the game, Sanders expressed that he is “hurting like crazy” and lacks blood flow to his leg. He confirmed he would see a doctor on Monday to further investigate the issue.
Sanders acknowledged his health struggles, particularly mentioning the pain in his leg and thanking reporters for noticing his condition.
Previous Health Issues
The 58-year-old coach previously faced serious health challenges. He underwent treatment for bladder cancer, with his doctor stating he is now cured.
Additionally, Sanders had a part of his intestine reconstructed to function as a bladder, showing the extent of his medical history.
Ongoing Foot Problems
Sanders has faced persistent issues with his left foot since undergoing toe amputations in 2021 due to blood clots. He missed a media day in 2023 following procedures on his legs and foot.
Despite these challenges, Sanders continues to lead the Colorado Buffaloes, who currently hold a record of 2-4, with an 0-3 record in the Big 12.
