Contributors Guidelines

Effective date: 07 October 2025 Entity: Faharas – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

1. Purpose

These Contributor Guidelines define how independent writers, editors, and volunteers (collectively “Contributors”) participate in Faharas.net.

They explain the editorial process, ethical expectations, monetization structure, and transparency rules that govern contributor work.

Faharas welcomes contributors from around the world who share our mission: to deliver accurate, human-verified, and transparent journalism.

2. Contributor Definition

Contributor is an independent participant who creates original articles, summaries, or analyses for publication under the Faharas.net editorial framework.

Contributors are not employees of Faharas. They work voluntarily or as independent publishers through personal accounts.

Each contributor:

  • Writes under their real identity (no anonymous posts).
  • Follows Faharas’s Editorial and FactCheck policies.
  • Maintains ownership of their original content.

Learn more about our editorial team at faharas.net/team.

3. Editorial Standards

All contributor submissions must meet the same editorial standards as staff-authored articles.

Each story must:

  • Be original and free from plagiarism.
  • Contain verified information supported by credible sources.
  • Be written in clear, human language with proper structure.
  • Include a source list and, where applicable, an accuracy classification.

All work undergoes editorial review and fact-checking before publication.

Refer to our Editorial Policy for detailed workflow steps.

4. Contributor Responsibility

Contributors are responsible for:

  • Ensuring factual accuracy and ethical compliance.
  • Updating articles when new information arises.
  • Responding to editorial feedback or correction requests.
  • Maintaining transparency about any conflicts of interest or affiliations.

Repeated violations of editorial integrity (e.g., misinformation, plagiarism, or non-disclosure) may result in removal of content or permanent deactivation of the contributor account.

5. Ownership and Rights

Contributors retain copyright to their original articles. By publishing on Faharas.net, they grant Faharas a non-exclusive, perpetual license to display, distribute, and archive the content.

Contributors may not republish their full Faharas articles elsewhere without written approval. However, they may share short excerpts or summaries with proper attribution and a backlink to the original page.

6. Monetization and Earnings

Faharas.net operates a zero-commission publishing model.

Contributors can monetize their individual pages through the Faharas Contributor Monetization Program (Arbahy) by linking personal ad accounts (e.g., Google AdSense).

Key principles:

  • All ad revenue goes directly from the ad provider to the contributor.
  • Faharas.net does not process or share in any financial transactions.
  • Contributors are responsible for managing their own ad account compliance.

Full details in the Contributor Monetization Program.

7. Transparency and Identity

To maintain public trust, each contributor must:

  • Publish under a verified real name.
  • Maintain an author profile with bio, location, and role.
  • Disclose any financial interests, sponsorships, or affiliations related to published topics.

Hidden or misleading identities are not permitted.

Learn more in the Author Guidelines.

8. AI Use Policy

Contributors may use AI only for limited, transparent support — such as grammar correction or keyword structuring.

They may not use AI to:

  • Generate or rewrite articles.
  • Create synthetic or false content.
  • Produce misleading text, imagery, or media.

All AI assistance must be disclosed in the editorial notes. Undeclared AI-generated content is subject to removal.

See our AI Policy for details.

9. Fact-Checking and Corrections

Each article passes through the Faharas Verification Workflow, which includes:

  1. Source verification
  2. Fact-checking by independent editors
  3. Classification (True, False, Misleading, etc.)
  4. Final human approval

If a contributor’s article requires correction, the update will be publicly logged in the Editorial Timeline and Corrections Log.

To request a correction, email [email protected] or use the Corrections Form.

Refer to FactCheck Guidelines for classification standards.

10. Ethics and Conduct

All contributors must follow the Faharas Code of Ethics, which emphasizes:

  • Accuracy, fairness, and neutrality.
  • Respect for privacy and human dignity.
  • No discrimination, hate speech, or defamation.
  • Transparent correction of errors.

Violation of these standards may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the contributor network.

11. Contributor Removal and Appeals

Faharas reserves the right to suspend or terminate contributor access if they:

  • Breach editorial or ethical standards.
  • Engage in plagiarism or AI misuse.
  • Violate copyright or advertising policies.

Contributors may appeal removal decisions by contacting [email protected] within 14 days. Appeals are reviewed by the editorial board within 30 days.
