Contributor Monetization Program

Effective date: 07 October 2025 Entity: Faharas – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

1. Overview

The Faharas Contributor Monetization Program (Arbahy) allows eligible contributors to earn revenue directly from third-party ad providers — such as Google AdSense — on their own verified pages.

This system is zero-commission: Faharas.net does not manage, process, or share in contributor payments. All earnings flow directly from the ad provider to the contributor’s account.

The purpose of this program is to support independent journalism, reward transparency, and encourage ethical participation — while maintaining Faharas’s non-profit and ad-free core.

2. How It Works

Each approved contributor may link their personal ad account (e.g., Google AdSense) to their verified Faharas profile.

When a visitor views or interacts with an ad on the contributor’s article page:

  • The ad is served directly by the provider (not by Faharas).
  • All revenue is paid directly to the contributor by the provider.
  • Faharas.net has no access to contributor earnings, ad reports, or transactions.

This ensures editorial independence and financial transparency.

The system was first introduced in 2020 under the name “Arbahy” (My Profits).

3. Eligibility

To qualify for the Monetization Program, a contributor must:

  1. Have an approved Contributor Account on Faharas.net.
  2. Maintain a valid Google AdSense (or equivalent) account in good standing.
  3. Follow the Contributor Guidelines and Editorial Policy.
  4. Publish a minimum of five verified articles following Faharas editorial standards.
  5. Complete Faharas’s short monetization compliance checklist.

4. Revenue and Payments

  • All ad payments are handled exclusively by Google or the contributor’s selected provider.
  • Faharas.net does not receivetransfer, or retain any portion of these earnings.
  • Contributors are responsible for complying with all applicable taxpayment, and advertising regulations in their country of residence.

Faharas.net is not liable for payment delays, account suspensions, or disputes between contributors and third-party ad networks.

5. Transparency and Disclosure

Contributors who enable monetization must:

  • Clearly mark monetized articles with a “Contributor Page” label.
  • Ensure all ads comply with Google Publisher Policies and do not mislead readers.
  • Disclose any sponsored or promotional partnerships within the article.

Faharas maintains a public record of monetized contributors for transparency and accountability.

6. Editorial Independence

Monetization does not influence editorial content or fact-checking decisions. Contributors must never allow advertising interests to shape news selection, tone, or verdicts.

Violations of this principle — such as promotional bias or undisclosed sponsorship — may lead to suspension from the program or removal of contributor privileges.

7. Ad Provider Responsibility

Third-party ad providers (e.g., Google AdSense) control the type, frequency, and placement of ads displayed on monetized contributor pages.

Faharas.net:

  • Does not determine which ads appear.
  • Cannot modify, block, or target specific advertisers.
  • Has no role in ad pricing, click tracking, or policy enforcement.

Contributors must ensure compliance with their ad provider’s terms of service, including content suitability and policy adherence.

8. Prohibited Practices

Contributors may not:

  • Click their own ads or encourage others to do so.
  • Manipulate impressions or ad visibility.
  • Place ads within misleading, harmful, or plagiarized content.
  • Embed ads in prohibited categories (e.g., hate speech, adult content, violence, or misinformation).

Violation of these rules will result in immediate removal from the program and possible permanent account termination.

9. Data and Privacy

Ad networks may use cookies or tracking tools to deliver relevant ads and measure performance. Faharas.net does not access or process this data.

Visitors can review cookie usage in our Cookie Policy and manage consent via their browser settings.

10. Disputes and Support

Faharas does not mediate financial or contractual disputes between contributors and third-party providers.

For ad account or payment-related issues, contributors should contact their provider directly (e.g., Google AdSense Support).

11. Termination

Faharas reserves the right to suspend or revoke a contributor’s monetization privileges if they:

  • Violate editorial or advertising standards.
  • Use AI-generated, plagiarized, or misleading content.
  • Engage in click fraud or misrepresentation.

Suspended contributors may reapply after corrective action and re-verification.

12. Policy Changes

This program may be updated periodically to reflect changes in Google AdSenseinternational media law, or Faharas editorial standards.

All updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
