Amazon has announced that its Alexa+ AI assistant will now be integrated into Samsung smart televisions, BMW vehicles, Bosch coffee machines, and Oura health rings. This marks the assistant’s first expansion beyond Echo devices and Fire TV products.
Samsung and BMW integrate Alexa+
Samsung will add Alexa+ to select smart TV models starting in late January 2026, allowing users to control entertainment and smart home devices using their voice. BMW revealed its new iX3 electric SUV, which will feature Alexa Custom Assistant for hands-free vehicle controls.
The integration with Samsung allows users to ask questions like “Alexa, what’s new?” to discover content or control connected devices without extra hardware. Amazon plans to implement this on TVs made between 2021 and 2025 that already support basic Alexa functions.
Alexa+ in Appliances and Health Tracking
Bosch has announced that its 800 Series coffee machines will support Alexa+ for voice-directed brewing, enabling customers to customize their coffee orders naturally. The integration is part of a broader trend of embedding voice assistants in household devices.
Oura’s integration will allow users to monitor health metrics through Alexa+. The assistant will proactively provide health insights, such as sleep recommendations, based on data collected from Oura rings.
Web Access and Additional Features
Amazon launched Alexa.com on January 5, 2026, offering web access to the assistant for tasks like meal planning and smart home controls. The redesigned Fire TV interface promises up to 30% faster navigation, enhancing the user experience.
Additionally, Ring announced a new feature called Fire Watch, which uses AI to detect signs of smoke or fire through camera feeds. This is particularly aimed at locations prone to wildfires.
