Amazon, Mall of Egypt, and Maggi saw significant increases in brand visibility last month, driven by strategic advertising campaigns.
Amazon’s Advertising Success
Amazon’s ad awareness rose from 38.7% on September 2 to 46.6% by September 25, a jump of 7.8 percentage points. This increase followed its two-week Back to School event that emphasized school supplies, electronics, and fashion.
The company shifted its focus from billboards to digital ads and offered 0% interest payment plans with banks including Banque Misr and National Bank of Egypt. The messaging targeted youth across social media platforms.
Mall of Egypt’s Growth
Mall of Egypt’s ad awareness increased from 25.2% on August 26 to 33.0% on September 15, also a rise of 7.8 points. This growth was linked to parent company Majid Al Futtaim’s announcement of opening its 100th store in Egypt and the first Carrefour in Suez on August 31.
The opening attracted customer attention and likely contributed to the increased awareness of the mall.
Maggi’s Increased Popularity
Maggi’s ad awareness climbed from 16.3% on August 30 to 23.9% on September 19, reflecting a 7.7 percentage point rise. This suggests successful marketing efforts as consumers recognized the brand more.
The brand’s campaigns and promotional efforts seem to resonate well, boosting its visibility in the competitive market.
