BLUF—Tonight, AEW Dynamite takes place at Hammerstein Ballroom, featuring several key matches and interviews as the promotion gears up for AEW Worlds End. It starts at 6 p.m. ET on TBS and HBO Max.
Takeshita vs. Cassidy and Key Matches
In the Continental Classic Blue League, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita will go against Orange Cassidy. Tesshita is undefeated but needs a win to secure his lead. Cassidy hopes to take the top spot if he wins.
In the Gold League, PAC will face “Jungle” Jack Perry for the first time, where each match carries significant weight for their standings. A loss for Perry could end his hopes for the semifinals.
Dynamite Diamond Ring Final and MJF’s Return
Ricochet, who won the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale, will take on ROH World Champion Bandido in the Dynamite Diamond Ring Final. The winner will earn an AEW World Title shot on January 14.
MJF is also set to return to the ring tonight after a long hiatus. He recently made waves by turning a three-way match into a four-way at AEW Worlds End.
Interviews and Other Matches
AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter will have a face-to-face interview ahead of their championship match at Worlds End. Tensions are high as they prepare to confront each other.
Mina Shirakawa will also compete against Marina Shafir, aiming for revenge after previous encounters. This match is anticipated due to the heated rivalry between the two competitors.
