Nintendo has announced backward compatibility fixes for several Switch 1 games on the Switch 2, following a recent firmware update.
October 2025 Compatibility Fixes List
This month, Nintendo has introduced fixes for five games from Switch 1. The included titles are Deemo Reborn, Library of Ruina, Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025, Ultra Age, and Warframe. Though the number of fixes is lower than previous updates, Warframe is a notable addition.
More updates are anticipated in the future, with Nintendo noting that their game, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, requires a patch. Users can stay tuned for further announcements.
Reported Issues with Other Titles
Nintendo has also shared status reports regarding other games that have encountered issues while using backward compatibility. These titles include Jelly Troops, which is unsupported due to game progression problems, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, which may present graphics issues.
Other affected games are Mugen Souls, where obtained items might not display correctly, Subway Simulator 2025: City Train, which has animation issues, and Transistor, which may malfunction if the console is docked or undocked during gameplay.
