HANCEVILLE, Ala., Oct. 2, 2025 — Wallace State Community College will be featured in an upcoming episode of the Amazon Prime series The College Tour. A film crew will record on campus October 7–9 to showcase academic programs, student life and campus culture.[1]
Filming Details
Production will take place in classrooms, labs and athletic facilities. The crew will interview students and faculty from the academic transfer, applied technology, health sciences, athletics and performing arts divisions.[1]
Student Voices
Featured students—Dianna Boatright, Jackson “Tiger” Flanigan, Johnathan Gray, ReAnna Rusk and Anna Wynn—will share experiences on coursework, career goals and community engagement.[1]
Presidential Segment
President Vicki Karolewics will appear in a “Coffee with the President” online feature to discuss the college’s mission, strategic goals and student success initiatives.[1]
Public Lunch and Learn Event
On October 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Gudger Student Center, series creator and host Alex Boylan will lead a Lunch and Learn. Boylan will discuss his career in television production, his win on The Amazing Race and the origins of The College Tour.[2][3]
